How It Works

Join the fun and support local causes with every ticket you buy.

Buy Tickets

Purchase your raffle tickets online or at the ballpark. Your entry numbers are emailed to you upon purchase. Buy early to get low entry numbers.

Live Drawing

Drawings happen live at home games, adding to the game-day excitement. Players with the lowest entry numbers get to throw the dice and win instant prizes.

Half the jackpot goes to the lucky winner, the rest supports local causes. Being present earns extra prizes but is not required.

How the Canaries 50/50 Winning Number Is Chosen

At Sioux Falls Canaries games, the 50/50 drawing isn’t hidden behind a screen — it’s built live, right in front of you.

And every ticket you purchase helps support local nonprofits through the Canaries Community Fund.

Here’s how it works.

🔢 1. Every Entry Is Issued in Order

Each ticket purchased receives a unique number, issued sequentially starting at #1.

When ticket sales close, the final number issued becomes the (Highest Number Issued) — and we display it publicly before the drawing begins.

That number sets the ceiling. The winning number will never exceed it.

Clear. Transparent. Public.

🎉 2. Fans Help Roll the Dice

We invite fans — those holding the lowest entry numbers in attendance — to come down and roll the dice live on camera.

Before each roll, the fan roller gets one chance to guess the digit. If they guess correctly, they win an instant cash prize on the spot.

It’s part raffle, part live show — and part community support.

🔢 3. We Build the Number Right to Left

We construct the winning number one digit at a time — starting from the right:

Ones
Tens
Hundreds
Thousands

Each of these digits is rolled using a 10-sided die numbered 0–9.

You can literally watch the winning number come to life.

🔒 4. The Closing Digit

Once the all but the closing digit are set, we roll the final (leftmost) digit.

A specific die is selected based on the (Highest Number Issued) and the actual results produced by the rolls, ensuring the completed number stays within the displayed (Highest Number Issued).

No re-rolls.
No discarded numbers.
No surprises.
