Bananas 50/50

Baseball, Family Fun and a Chance to Make a Difference

The Sioux Falls Canaries and Bananas Foster are teaming up for the Bananas 50/50! A community fundraiser that combines the excitement of Banana Ball with an opportunity to support children, families and nonprofit organizations.

Half of the raffle proceeds will make up the winner’s prize. The remaining net proceeds will be shared among the Canaries Community Fund, Bananas Foster and participating local nonprofits that help promote the raffle.

The more tickets sold, the larger the prize—and the greater the impact we can make together.

Bananas Foster was inspired by Emily and Jesse Cole, owners of Fans First Entertainment and creators of Banana Ball.

The Coles built the Savannah Bananas around a simple philosophy: Fans First. Entertain Always. Their goal was to make baseball fun, create unforgettable experiences and bring families together.

Emily and Jesse also shared a longstanding desire to support children and families involved in foster care. In 2020, they became licensed foster parents themselves. That experience strengthened their belief that the Bananas could use their growing platform to make a meaningful difference for the foster care community.

Bananas Foster was founded in 2023 as an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Its mission is to celebrate and support the foster care community while educating and inspiring more people to become involved.

The organization recognizes the children, foster parents, biological families, adoptive families, social workers, advocates and community partners who are already making a difference—and invites others to join them.
